Brigadier General Julian Radoiski, Rector of Georgi Benkovski Air Force Academy, congratulated the cadets, cadets and students of the “Vasil Levski” class and urged them to turn the promotion of the image of the Bulgarian Army and their alma mater into the highest and most responsible cause to dedicate themselves to.
The ceremonial act of awarding the first officer rank was held in Pleven in the presence of senior officers of the Bulgarian Army, representatives of local and state authorities, military-patriotic organizations. Among the official guests present was Mr. Todor Ivandjikov, Chairman of BAIA – Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association. A total of 31 graduates received their first officer’s badges. At the ceremony, the first sergeant rank was conferred to the cadet graduates, and the diplomas of the graduates were also awarded.
Greetings were offered by the Deputy Minister of Defense Stanimir Georgiev, who presented the awards, the jubilee medal and epaulettes to the top of the class, Lt. Eng. Joanna Daneva from specialization “Aircraft pilot” and for the excellent student of specialization “Aircraft pilot” – Lt. Eng. Marijan Tsvetanov. Lieutenant General Tsanko Stoykov presented the awards and diplomas to the excellent students of specializations: Lt. Eng. Stephanie Asenova – “Flight Manager”, Lt. Eng. Martin Simeonov – “Aviation electrical and automatic systems”, Lt. Eng. Dimitar Yankov – specialization “Radioelectronic equipment of aircraft”.
