BAIA collectively represents its Members before the state and international regulatory authorities in order to address the current issues facing the Bulgarian aviation industry and to ensure its sustainable and competitive development, and also facilitates the exchange of experience and best practices in the aviation sector.
“The idea of this Association has been brewing for the last year. I saw that there was a need to create a working body through which not only internal communication between airlines, but also between airlines and the state as a whole could be facilitated.
The aim is to boost the Bulgarian aviation industry. To attract young people to aviation. To help each other, not just to compete. I work with most airlines and in contacts with them the idea of ABAI was born, but the crisis of COVID-19 accelerated things. All of us in the industry see that we need to come together and lay the foundations for something new and come out stronger after the crisis. The aim is to help the government bodies responsible for the development of aviation in Bulgaria and to give ideas for this.”
