As Chairman of BAIA and owner of several companies in the aviation industry, Mr. Todor Ivandjikov participated in the online session of Human Resource Training Seminar in Vietnam’s Aviation Industry 2023-2030 on August 5, 2023.
Mr. Ivandjikov presented his vision for the development of training centers in Bulgaria, certified and providing quality EASA training for aviation engineers and pilots, as well as the opportunities for developing closer relations with the Vietnamese aviation industry and training and certification of personnel.
It is important to note that Vietnam and Bulgaria have a long-standing partnership in the field of training pilots and aviation engineers, with the Air Force Academy in Bulgaria – part of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association (BAIA) having trained many Vietnamese pilots and engineers until 1989. Recently this training has started again, with two Vietnamese military engineers completing their training at the Academy last year, and negotiations to start training military pilots next year.
The purpose of this cooperation is to develop a close relationship and joint partnership with BAIA, in order to understand the objectives of the Vietnamese aviation industry and create an opportunity for the dynamic development of the aviation industry in Vietnam with appropriately certified aviation personnel.
One of BAIA’s core missions is to create a business environment in which to ensure compliance with all aviation safety standards, in parallel with the dynamic changes in aviation regulations and requirements.
