On 15 August after 15:30 at the VIP Terminal of Sofia Airport, the President of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Academician Hristo Grigorov, will receive a shipment of up to 30 tons of humanitarian aid intended for children left homeless, parent(s) and dreams as a result of the war.

The donation is the first stage of the charity campaign HANDS ACROSS THE SKIES, initiated by 6 year old Madison Manny-Baker and her father Mark Baker together with Todor Ivandjikov, who runs International Aviation Services and is Chairman of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association.

Ms. Lydia Martin is also part of the HAS team, working diligently to organize and deliver the aid.

Partners in the initiative are the Bulgarian Red Cross and the For the Good Foundation.

HANDS ACROSS THE SKIES is a large-scale collaborative initiative that aims to help the most innocent people affected by wars around the world, namely children. Aid for children in Ukraine has already been raised thanks to Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire, UK) based charities. The supplies will be transported from London to Sofia on a GullivAir Airbus A330, and from Sofia to Ukraine, ground transport will be provided by the Bulgarian Red Cross.

The charity action HANDS ACROSS THE SKIES passes under the motto “From our children to yours Children.” Because in addition to the aid, the campaign brings messages of “love, compassion and hope for peace” from children in 28 countries that cannot be ignored.
