The Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association (BAIA) is proud to support the Bulgarian national aeromodelling team on their journey to one of the most prestigious competitions in the world — the World Cup and the World Championship for Control Line Model Aircraft in Perth, Australia.
From 29 April to 1 May, the World Cup will take place, followed immediately by the FAI World Championships for Control Line Model Aircraft, from 3 to 8 May 2026 — an event bringing together the world’s best pilots in the disciplines of air combat (F2D), aerobatics (F2B), speed, and team racing.
In the aerobatic model aircraft category, Bulgaria will be represented by 9-year-old Kubrat Kirilov from the “Asen Yordanov” Sports Club in the town of Shabla, while in the air combat category our honour will be defended by Eng. Romeo Donchev, also from the same club and an employee of Lufthansa Technik.
This is not just a competition. It is an arena of character, engineering thinking, and courage. Every second in the air is the result of years of work, precision, and dedication.
It is an honour for us that, through the support of BAIA and our partners, the Bulgarian team is heading to the competition fully prepared — with complete equipment and the confidence that a strong community stands behind them.
We extend our special thanks to Mr. Todor Ivandjikov for his consistent support and commitment throughout all stages of the preparation.
These competitors are not simply carrying model aircraft — they are carrying Bulgaria with them.
They carry the dreams of everyone who believes in aviation.
Те носят духа на едно поколение, което не се страхува да лети високо.
We wish you success!
Lets the sky over Perth become a stage for Bulgarian strength, talent, and unwavering spirit.
Bulgaria is with you!
