The Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association BAIA lays the foundations for a new strategic development format – the “Your Wings” cluster, which brings together key organizations from the aviation sector, high technology, artificial intelligence and aerospace industry.

VISION FOR LEADERSHIP
Your Wings Cluster was established with the ambition for Bulgaria to take a leading role in the development of aviation and aerospace technologies in the region and Europe. The initiative is based on the understanding that our country has exceptional human potential, a strategic geographical location and growing technological expertise.
The goal is clear – building an integrated ecosystem where business, science, education and institutions work together.
FOUNDERS OF THE CLUSTER
The cluster was established on the initiative of BAIA in partnership with:
– United Drone Society
– Bulgarian Air Force Foundation
– Professional Association for Robotics, Automation and Innovation (PARAi)
– Association for the History and Future of Bulgarian Aviation
– Bulgarian Aviation Association
– Association of Ultralight Aviation in Bulgaria
– Bulgarian Federation of AvioModelling
– Bulgarian Defence Industry Club Association
This alliance represents a wide range of expertise, from education and research to industry and innovation.
FROM AVIATION TO SPACE
One of the key focuses of the cluster is expanding beyond traditional aviation to aerospace technology and New Space initiatives.
The focus includes:
– developing space applications and technologies;
– stimulating private space initiatives;
– participating in European and international programmes;
– integrating aerospace and space innovation.
This puts Bulgaria in a new position – as an active participant in the global space economy.
KEY PRIORITIES
Your Wings Cluster will work purposefully to:
– building a sustainable innovation ecosystem;
– developing and retaining young talent;
– deploying artificial intelligence and autonomous systems;
– science-industry technology transfer;
– enhancing safety and cybersecurity;
– digitising processes in aviation and related industries;
– developing education and training programmes.
HIGH-LEVEL SUPPORT
The establishment of the cluster received clear institutional support.
Among the supporters are the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as key institutions such as DG Civil Aviation Administration, BULATSA and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This confirms the understanding that aviation, space and high technology are strategic sectors for Bulgaria.
