On 02.10.24 within Inter Dron Expo in Inter Expo Center – Inter Expo Center was the first day of our forum, presenting new technologies and trends in the drone industry. The opening of the forum was by Mrs. Andra Mohan, representative of Austro Control Austro Control ATPL Group and Mr. Todor Ivandjikov, President of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association.
The first presentation on panel 1 EUROPEAN DRONE CLUSTER COMPETITIVENESS was by prof. Prof. Dimo Zafirov from ICIT at BAS. Stefan Hristozov, Secretary of Jeda presented the joint projects and cooperation of BAIA with Jeda – https://www.jeda-uas.eu/, and Mr. Staiko Topalov from DS Consult gave a presentation on SAFETY IN THE SKY AND SECURITY.
The second part of the panel was opened by prof. Georgi Angelov – Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Innovation and Development and Ms. Anelia Marinova, DG CAA.
The first topic of our second panel REGULATIONS, DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATIONS IN UAVs was presented by Ms Daniela Mincheva: EASA/JARUS – SORA 2.5. Next was the presentation of Ms Andra Mohan from Austro Control, on UNMANNED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM – MANAGING DRONES IN AUSTRIA CTRS. BULATSA presented a presentation on U-SPACE SERVICES. The next topic was very intriguing, presented by Mr. Kalin Stoyanov, @Daedalean: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE &ITS ROLE FOR FUTURE AIR URBAN MOBILITY. The panel of Mr. Todor Ivandjikov, whose guests were Mr. Jesus Caballero, Sofia Airport, Aerodyne, Burgas Municipality Mr. Mihail Nenov, Deputy Mayor, Ms. Anelia Marinova, DG CAA was very emotional and intense because it showed us how close the future of “flying cars” is to us and how far behind we are even with our dreams. The “flying cars” are already a fact and will be in our daily lives very soon. The question is whether we are prepared regulatory and infrastructural. This is what Sof Connect and the Municipality of Burgas have been working intensively on, sharing their plans for reconstruction and reorganisation, as well as their readiness to be the first to implement the technologies of the future. The last topic was awaited with great interest and did not disappoint us – it was presented by Mr. Lulcho Georgiev: 10 YEARS OF INNOVATION IN UNMANNED AVIATION. WHAT’S NEXT? DRONAMICS. On all discussed topics the interest was serious and there was a good dialogue with experts and guests from the audience.
The second day of the forum was held on 03.10.2024 in Pirin Hall, the panel was on UAV AND DEFENCE SYSTEMS, a topic that required its more specific audience.
