
GullivAir, a member of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association, continues with the successful development of its business strategy. Today, 26 March, the air carrier resumed scheduled flights between Sofia and Skopje.

GullivAir flight GBG311 with ATR-72-600 aircraft (reg. LZ-DAH) took off from Sofia airport for the capital of North Macedonia at 06:07. It lasted exactly half an hour and landed in Skopje at 06:41 Bulgarian time. There were 22 passengers on board for Skopje and 14 passengers on board for Sofia.

After the landing Yanko Ivanov – responsible manager of GullivAir said:
“I am glad that we have managed to renew the Sofia-Skopje air route. It is an opportunity for fast and convenient transport for the citizens of both countries, whether for business or tourist travel. .“

In the Republic of North Macedonia the aircraft was welcomed with the traditional water arch. At the airport was the Minister of Transport of the neighbours Blagoje Bochvarski, who said:
“I am pleased that we very quickly reached an agreement and established this line together with the Republic of Bulgaria. The work is moving in the desired direction and we are already seeing the results of the work of the joint groups with our Bulgarian colleagues. The Sofia – Skopje flight has started operating today and the first passengers have already arrived in Skopje. I wish them a warm welcome to our country and send them a message that our country has a lot to offer in the field of tourism. We remain committed to our friends and to finding solutions in the coming period that will strengthen friendly relations and bring economic benefits to both countries. .“
Flights between Sofia and Skopje will operate twice a week – on Saturdays and Mondays. The regular air service was closed in 2009 but successfully restored today.
