Innovation 2025: From paper airplane to flying car

On March 12, 2025 at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Burgas State University “Prof. The next edition of “One Academic Hour” was held on the 12th of May, 2011. The guest speaker was Todor Ivandjikov, entrepreneur, expert in technological innovation and Chairman of the Association of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry (ABAI). The topic of his lecture was “Innovation 2025: From paper airplane to flying car”.

The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Rumiana Papancheva – Dean of the Faculty, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elena Ilieva – Head of the Department of Tourism, who emphasized the importance of innovation for various fields. Among the official guests was Prof. Dr. Irena Markovska, Deputy Rector for Accreditation, Personnel and Quality of Education. St. The students were also present at the school, students of the school “St. Cyril and Methodius” – Burgas.

The lecture presented current developments and their application in tourism, transport, logistics and other industries. Of particular interest was the topic of flying cars and the prospects for their integration into the urban environment.

After the presentation, a discussion was held in which participants asked questions about the challenges and opportunities that new technologies offer. The organizer and initiator of the meeting was the Department of Tourism with the assistance of the Student Council at BSU “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov”.

The One Academic Hour format continues to attract a wide audience, providing the opportunity to meet leading experts and discuss topical issues.
