BAIA support aviation industry

On 18.05.2023 a meeting of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association was held

Discussed was the methodology to be used to resolve the difficulties of the Association, as well as the applications for new members of BAIA – Intersky AD with manager Mr. Lilcho Lilov, Peak Aviation Ltd. with manager Mr. Emil Avramov and Plain Care Academy Ltd. with manager Mr. Victor Mihailov. The following resolutions were considered and unanimously adopted:

  1. The applications for BAIA membership of Plain Care Academy Ltd, Interskay plc and Peak Aviation Ltd are accepted.
  2. BAIA will apply for membership in the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which will allow for better collaboration and communication with the institutions, as well as the opportunity for cooperation on upcoming projects.
  3. The address for correspondence with the Association shall be changed.

Possible joint actions were discussed to assist the administration in order to avoid delays in registration and deregistration actions, and to allow the airworthiness department to work 4 hours, as is the practice in other departments, in order to allow its staff to be involved in assisting the work of the main inspector, who is currently only one.

Guidelines were discussed for seeking a constructive and mutually beneficial dialogue with the administration in order to support their work, which is in the common interest, as well as to move in the direction of ironing out some outdated requirements in the regulatory framework and existing regulations. Seeking joint dialogue and cooperation to ensure a smooth process of work without difficulties, while complying with all regulatory requirements is a top priority of the Association.

Possible directions of development were discussed in relation to the signed Memorandum of Cooperation between Juida, Castra and BAIA, as well as opportunities for participation and support in the development of STEM Centres in cooperation with BAS.

A proposal was received from BAIA members to support the preparation and participation of Nikolay Kalaydzhiev to set a third World Record on 18.06.23 during the demonstration day of Inter Drone Expo 2023 at Lesnovo Airport.

A meeting is to be held to discuss the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement with AOPA.
