The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has announced the launch of its Innovative Air Mobility Implementation Forum, organised in collaboration with AME, ASD, DAE, GUTMA and JEDA. EASA Executive Director Florian Guilherme kicked off the event, with a session dedicated to the exchange of views between authorities and industry executives. The forum is being held at EASA Headquarters, Cologne for the period 22-23.10.2024.
We are proud to announce that BAIА, as a member of JEDA and the only recognized partner of EASA in the development of unmanned aviation and U Space, participated in the forum with two representatives: Mr. Todor Ivandjikov, Chairman of the BAIА Board and Mr. Stefan Hristozov, Secretary of JEDA and member of the BAIА Board.
Discussions will focus on the state of the innovative regulatory framework for air mobility and U-space, as well as market forecasts for the industry, which will guide the efforts of EASA and national authorities in the coming years. It will also be an opportunity to present, in cooperation with the European Commission, the state of implementation of the European Drone Strategy 2.0..
The event will continue with a day and a half of discussions and presentations divided into different work streams. The event will provide an opportunity for all participants to exchange views on technical, regulatory and community adoption issues. EASA expects this event to be a great opportunity to have discussions on key issues related to regulatory enforcement as well as to get suggestions on best practices to support the safe and sustainable development of the EU drone market.
